Research Associate (Up to two positions)

Organizational Setting and Reporting

This position is located in i3T's Programmatic Area. The Research Assistant(s) will report to the Research Coordinator / Director of i3T.

i3T is a new nonprofit think tank and consultancy headquartered in Mexico City. Its scope of action includes, but is not limited to, Latin America and the Caribbean, with a broader focus on the Global South.

As an international organization dedicated to strategic industrial transformation in Latin America and the Caribbean, i3T maintains strong connections with organized civil society, governments, the private sector, and international nonprofit organizations aligned with i3T’s objectives.

i3T serves as a hub for transformative industrial and economic policy in Latin America. It focuses on sustainable industrial and technological development and regional integration, in line with the broader goal of a green and equitable global economic transformation.

i3T’s work currently comprises two areas developed in partnership with research institutions, policymakers, and civil society:

  1. Building a Knowledge Clearinghouse: Conducting cutting-edge research and analysis to fill strategic knowledge gaps in areas such as regional integration, economic transformation, inequality reduction, and industrial and technological development.
  2. Building a Community of Practice: Mapping experts, building networks, developing personnel and talent pipelines, and offering theoretical and practical training to foster the human capabilities needed for transformational change.

Communications Director

i3T serves as a hub for transformative industrial and economic policy in Latin America. It focuses on sustainable industrial and technological development and regional integration, in line with the broader goal of a green and equitable global economic transformation.

i3T’s work currently comprises two areas developed in partnership with research institutions, policymakers, and civil society:

  1. Building a Knowledge Clearinghouse: Conducting cutting-edge research and analysis to fill strategic knowledge gaps in areas such as regional integration, economic transformation, inequality reduction, and industrial and technological development — and ensuring that this research reaches all the journalists, academics, and practitioners to whom it is of interest.
  2. Building a Community of Practice: Mapping experts, developing personnel and talent pipelines, and offering theoretical and practical training to foster the human capabilities needed for transformational change — developing, strengthening, and communicating to a vast and durable network of partners, clients, and allies.
